At&t Uverse TV sound update

by Scott on June 19, 2008

At&t Uverse TVIt’s been 5 days since I had a service technician come out to my house and address my At&t Uverse TV sound and transmission issues. I want to point out some of the positives of the service call, and then address the ongoing issues.

The service tech found some older splitters under the house from the 1970′s and replaced them. He also ran 20 feet of new cable from the splitter to my high definition television in the living room. The splitters and cable were no charge as he was attempting to fix the pixalation and sound issues.

The pixalation issues improved considerably and the ghosting during sports games seemed to vanish. This was thoroughly tested over the weekend as my dad and I watched the U.S. Open Golf match. Before the fix, you could see a trailing ball streak across the screen. Very annoying, as I wasn’t sure if it was At&t Uverse issues or my LCD tv with the problem.

Unfortunately, I still am having an issue with STC (The Soundtrack Channel). I have a 4 second delay between the voice and video. The Uverse technician put in a ticket and told me no other reported issues had come up for this channel. I don’t watch the channel much, but I’m concerned it could happen again to other channels.

At&t Uverse TV Sound issues continue and I will have to make another call to the service department soon. Last night and this morning the sound on all channels would go dead for up to 1 minute. Anyone else experiencing At&t Uverse TV issues?

I had not heard of the At&t until now but I will keep this in mind if it comes to our neighborhood. Good luck!

Perhaps now there are no longer problems such as this with AT&T U-verse because so far from the time of installation a couple of months ago, I don’t experience any problem yet.
