Stumble Traffic

by Scott on July 9, 2008

I got Stumbled Upon yesterday and my traffic soared over 30% for my blog. A big “Thank You” to the reader who hit the Stumble Upon button as traffic spiked early in the morning, approx 8 am Pacific.

I’ve had the StumbleUpon tool on my Firefox browser for about two months and utilize it when I come across an interesting site. Stumbled Upon learns what you like and will suggest new blogs when you hit the Stumble! button on your browser toolbar. If you are interested in photographs of animals, you would have to try different google searches for “dog+pictures” etc, and weed through a bunch of different websites. Many may be dead links, or just not on the topic. Using Stumbled Upon, you will find other sites that people recommend and have enjoyed too.

I have always been curious how this impacts a blog, so thank you again, to the person who Stumbled The Passive Dad. A 30% increase in Stumble traffic was a great way to start my day.

Have you been Stumbled? If you know of other ways to utilize StumbleUpon, please share your strategies.

I have been stumbled on a couple times and I have stumbled a couple blogs. I had no idea the impact was so much. Lately I am in to the digg thing but not sure about that either. I need to look into the stumble page more! Thanks for the tip.
